Who doesn't love waking up to a warm breakfast ready to eat?! I love making this the night before and having it ready to go the next morning. Steel cut oats are my favorite, but can take forever to cook up on the stove top, but not with this perfect recipe! Just set it and forget it!
Add all your ingredients (oats, almond milk, water, vanilla extract, and cinnamon powder) into a slow cooker and give it a good mix.
Cook oatmeal on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. If you like a chewier, al-dente style steel cut oats, reduce time for either low/high by an hour. Top with granola, fresh fruits, agave, and extra cinnamon powder. Enjoy!
